What do you do when your passion grows bigger than you as an individual? What happens when your passion is so strong that it pushes you to leave a secure corporate job just so you can focus on it every single minute of every single day? Well, then you basically the like as Amanda (what should this say?).

She ran right after her passion, her passion for fitness and health. Her passion pushed her to grow in a direction that most South Africans would disagree with, especially with rampant unemployment in our country. Instead of focusing on the negatives of willingly being unemployed, she threw herself headfirst into the billion-dollar sports apparel industry and started her brand - Fit Fanatic.

You need to understand what this means in an industry dominated by huge multinational companies that have even bigger budgets than some small countries, she chose to stare them in the face and say "You are my competition and I am going to beat you every chance I get". This rollercoaster ride she chose sees dispatching orders, sourcing garments, designing collections and yes, training consistently every single day. She tells us "It's scary and overwhelming at times, but exhilarating and fun at the same time."

To understand someone brave enough like Amanda you need to understand her guiding philosophy "Health is Wealth", she uses this philosophy every day to reach her ultimate goal of building a nationwide community of Fit Fanatics like her who will change peoples' lives everywhere from the smallest village in Kwa Zulu-Natal to the most pristine suburb of Johannesburg. So, truth be told, Amanda's passion isn't fitness apparel. No it isn't, it's helping people everywhere become better, healthier versions of themselves, she just wants people too look really cool and feel comfortable while doing it.
