Tribal Fit: Based on your career how strict do you have to be with yourself in maintaining set bodyweight?
Amogelang: I am a personal trainer, so depending on my goal, I have to follow a certain meal plan and training routine every single day, day in day out. everything that goes into my mouth counts if I am following a strict diet plan, from water intake to food portion intake, everything I eat has to be measured, depending on what the meal plan says I must eat also how many vitamins and mineral consumption I need per day.
Tribal Fit: What does it take for you to stay consistent and focused on building your body?
Amogelang: Motivation is something that everyone needs to get what needs to be done, me? I just use music as my drive, as my source of motivation and as well as the motivational videos or audios from the mulligan brothers page, then I get through the day and the workout planned, when i do heavy sets at the gym I use Gqom music to get me through the workout set.
Tribal Fit: How do you make time to work out and body build?
Amogelang: As a Personal Trainer, I get so little time in the morning after training my clients, so I get to have 2- 3 hours to myself and follow the daily training routine, either in the morning or in the afternoon just before peak hour starts, that is like 4 pm when the peak hour starts, so I train before that.
Tribal Fit: What is your daily routine like?
Amogelang: My daily routine is wake up at 7 am now that is lockdown, before lockdown, I would wake up at 4 am every day, prepare for work, make Herbalife tea mix, have 2-4 clients than about 9/10 am I have my workout just after having my morning snack, after my shower I have lunch followed by a snack then have the next 4-5 clients for the day, then dinner time around 7/9 pm then rest for the next day.
Tribal Fit: What did it take for you to get to the body type and weight you are in now?
Amogelang: It took me 5 years to get to where i am, but generally, i have been having different goals along the way, body changing all the time through the short and long goals I had.

Tribal Fit: When things get difficult and you feel like giving up what do you say to yourself to keep going?
Amogelang: When things get too rough, too hectic, too difficult I always remind myself to where I started, why I started and where I want to go, I always say to myself "Let's go, Amo, you got this, nobody but YOU!"
Tribal Fit: What do you consider hardship?
Amogelang: I consider, hardship when I am unable to reach my goal on time because time does not wait for no man, the fact that it keeps on going means I also need to keep pushing because I cannot retain the time I lost but I can use the days that come ahead to regain what I have lost.
Tribal Fit: What's the worst thing that has ever happened to you?
Amogelang: The worst thing that has ever happened to me is getting an injury back when I was a basketball player, I had two injuries that stopped me from performing at my absolute best, groin injury and ankle injury.
Tribal Fit: How did you get through the worst thing that has happened to you?
Amogelang: Day by day I would do rehab exercises to make my muscles strong again and functional to get moving and train again.
Tribal Fit: Do you have a motto you live by?
Amogelang: "Change your mind set, Change your life"
Tribal Fit: If you could give a younger version yourself advice what would you say?
Amogelang: An Advice I would give to my younger self is that, life is so unpredictable and time does not have a friend, so you use the time that you have while you still young in, investing in your health, your finances, your mind and build relevant skills. Build good habits, fail fast, fail early, fail often because for you to grow you need to learn from your mistakes and travel as much often as you can, most importantly thank God every single day for the life he has given you.
Tribal Fit: What motivates you?
Amogelang: Having a goal motivates me because I have something to work towards every single day.

Tribal Fit: How do you personally define pain?
Amogelang: Pain is just a stimulus, it happens when you push yourself to the absolute maximum, a very emotional experience, but it does not last forever just like time and money don’t last.
Tribal Fit: How do you personally define joy?
**Amogelang:**Joy is also a stimulus, a feeling of great excitement and pleasure, for me I greatly feel joy when I achieve my goals and visioning what my next goal looks like in terms of fitness and generally the future, I get very excited to see what I can overcome when I have set my mind on it.
