Nothing can stop Neo Malebye from crushing her goals.

Fitness enthusiast, Neo [Surname] (26), also known as Neno Fit, is a mother, group instructor, and digital marketer. With a love for all things health and fitness, she is strict with maintaining her body because you have to have a lot of discipline and consistency for you to get those results. “And this is not only in fitness but in all areas of life,” she says.

So what does it take to stay consistent? For Neo that means just having a goal. “I’m one person that does not give up once they put their mind to it. I just want to be able to get the body of my dreams.” She’s a go-getter, stating that we have 24 hours in a day, so dedicating 45 minutes to get your perfect body is a worthwhile compromise!

Motivated by her son as well, being a mother bring her joy. “I’m really, really motivated to make a better life for him, for myself, and just being a rockstar mother,” adding that her personal definition of joy is doing everything that you want that makes you happy. Her typical day includes personal training classes and group classes in the mornings, dropping her son off at school, and carrying on with her 9 - 5 job. “Nothing glamorous except during the weekends,” she laughs.

How Neo achieved the body type and weight that she has now took a lot of consistency and learning more. “You never really know everything consisting off fitness,” she says. So learning your body and learning anything that you can get from other people is vital to helping you achieve the body that you would like to get.

When things get difficult and you just feel like giving up, her tried and tested line is: “Let the light guide me. The light could be God, the light could be faith, the light could be the hope that I have in my dream and the vision that I have to pursue and get what I want.” Any workout can be hard, even for someone as fit as she is; she still finds some workouts challenging “One [difficult] thing for me is doing deadlifts because you need to have the correct form and make sure that you do not break your back.” But there’s a trick: love what you’re doing.

Her final way staying motivated is that her end goal keeps changing. It keeps things exciting and it’s good for you to change your workout routines yearly just to challenge your body, she believes.

“When I first started out with my fitness career, I was aspiring to be leaner, then as time went on I did more HIIT workouts. And now I’m more of the strength trainer; I’m doing heavyweight workouts and weight training more than I did those two other exercises. So my goal for this year is just to have thick thighs that save lives!”

Her motto is, “God is good.” If she could advise her younger self it would be to have faith and hope about the future, and to not spend too much time worried about things that are beyond your control. As long as you put in the work, the results will come.
